I got into PEUGEOTs through the 504. I think it's one of the best-looking and best-engineered cars ever, not only in terms of roadholding. It reflects PEUGEOTs philosophy as one of the world's oldest surviving car manufacturers:

To built "technical sturdy and safe cars with characteristic and timeless design, allied with above average comfort and handling, equipped with many standard extras".

It helped that my father had three 504s when I was a child. I wanted such a car ever since...
